Winter is coming! (Apparently). So you are ready for the storm, all stocked up on your favorite goodies and wine for some Netflix and Chill. But what can your dog indulge in for some comfort food to brave the storm? We got you….no-bake treats made with stuff you have in your pantry! Seriously, this simple four-ingredient recipe is the perfect way to indulge your pooch, made with simple superfoods you’ve already got on hand. (This is also a fab gift for friends with dogs, or cute neighbors with dogs that you’ve been dying to meet.)
No-Bake Super Snacks
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup rolled oats
Directions
Combine pumpkin puree and chia seeds in a mixing bowl, then stir in peanut butter and mix well. Place rolled oats in a bowl. Use a cookie scoop to drop rounded tablespoons of mixture into the oats, then roll to coat evenly. Transfer each rolled ball onto a baking sheet with parchment paper and repeat. Makes about 20-24 balls depending on size. Transfer baking sheet to the fridge and chill until firm, about an hour.
Store extras in an airtight container in a fridge for up to a week.
P.S. Technically, you can eat these too! Might want to drizzle yours with some honey or agave.
